KUNZITE

Kunzite was discovered near the beginning of the twentieth century, in America, named for it's discover, the gemologist G.F. Kunz.  Kunzite is a form of Spodumene, which occurs in a wide range of colors, although the most common color is the yellow gray (which is called Triphane).  Two other gemstone varieties, the lilac-pink Kunzite (colored by manganese) and the bright emerald green Hiddenite (colored by chromium).  Spodumene was discovered in 1877 in Brazil, although it was not until 1879 that Kunzite and Hiddenite were recognized as different varieties of the same mineral.  Spodumene is also found in Madagascar, Myanmar, the USA, Canada, the former USSR, Mexico and Sweden.

Kunzite, it is told, will help to combat feelings of inferiority, inhibition and depression, and it also has a pronounced calming effect on the heart.

Kunzite is known to ease tension of tight muscles, and it is especially good for the nerves and muscles of the shoulders and neck.  It creates a calmness when you have to accept a situation because it is out of your control.

It's most favorable use is for removing emotional blockages from your history, especially childhood stress and trauma.

Healing

Pink Kunzite prevents narrowing of the arteries; it relaxes tense muscles and will alleviate rheumatism and arthritis.
